The Glimmering Tide

Starting something new is often a case of false starts. Of stumbling before catching a ride on the sweeping flow.

It is usually, for me, a drip feed of ideas; working to try and figure something out before the fit fits right.

It’s about lining up not only the content but a distribution of words that feels consistent.

Currently, I am working on my final major project: the opening chapters of my book, Unsettled, a piece of new nature writing.

And while I write this, I need a space to experiment with ideas and effectively journal about unrelated but interconnected thoughts.

A place to gather the fragments.

And this place is my Substack publication The Glimmering Tide. Please do come and check it out.

As well as this, I am trying to make Bluesky my new social media hangout. Not perfect, I know, but, I hope, better than Meta.

Weaning myself of Insta, I am trying to be present in spaces that feel aligned with the future I wish for.

A future that is kind. A future unafraid to make mistakes. Good in intentions. Open. Friendly. Collaborative. Inclusive.

And the beautiful thing is there are so many others who feel the same.

We just need to connect. So come and find me.
