Summer update: Creating, writing, and designing for the future

Since I last checked in, it’s been an interesting and full-on couple of months.
With the deadline for my MA final major project (the opening chapters for a book of new nature writing) approaching, I've been conscious of completing various tasks before I dive into my creative practice.
With the investment of time, money and energy that has enabled the initial decision to do an MA, and as somebody who is instinctively collaborative - with a million ideas and just as many worthwhile causes to support - focusing on the FMP, I knew, would require some fencing-off of space to get it written.
And not just get it written, but to indulge in and enjoy the process.
So, as well as lining up involvement in some incredible projects for autumn, recently I have been tying up loose ends and communicating my plan to unplug with family, friends, and colleagues.
And it is in that spirit that I write this post, which will be the last one now until I hand in my project this September.
Therefore, I will be stepping away from email and social media and checking only intermittently.
However, I will be present on my Substack, The Glimmering Tide, which serves as a creative journal, and thus I intend to utilise it fully for the final stage of this academic journey.
Therefore, if you would like to work with me towards the end of the year (which I am nearing capacity for) or have an idea for 2027, please feel free to contact me via email, highlighting its importance. I promise I will respond - albeit slightly slower than usual.
Otherwise, see you on the other side!
