The Talbot Village Mural Project - Creative Workshop

Last week, I had the pleasure of working with Julia Chiapetti to introduce her research to a selected group of AUB Illustration students who are tasked with redesigning the art currently at the site.

Julia, who is coordinating the project and has gathered extensive research from across the community to identify the key aspects that make Talbot Village such an interesting place, invited me to work with the six talented students and their AUB tutors.

We began thinking about the interconnected themes, how we as storytellers (albeit from different disciplines) might communicate these ideas, and why this matters!

I love this kind of work! I enjoy collaborating with other creatives to discuss important issues, but I also find it fascinating to learn how artists communicate themselves and their ideas through other mediums. I always learn so much!

All in all, it was a stimulating session, and I cannot wait to see what the finished mural will look like.
