Last month, the kind people over at Summersdale Publishers sent me this book.

As a walker already, I didn’t need much convincing of the benefits.
Aside from yoga, walking - as much as possible - is the main form of exercise that I do.
As a mum who gets to walk the school-run, twice a day every day, I can literally feel the difference on the school holidays when I am not doing those walks.
Walking offers my body a gentle and non-impactful form of exercise, something that my knees are thankful for, and that compliments my yoga practice.
What I loved about this book (and wasn’t expecting) was the sense of renewed appreciation it gave me, simply for the act of walking and for being able to walk.
It also had lots of lovely ideas for things to do on a walk, and for that it would make a really lovely gift for anybody!
