Wrapping up The Writers’ Haven Sessions

Over the past year, I’ve had the immense pleasure of hosting a monthly Writers’ Haven (in association with the Bournemouth Writing Festival and BCP libraries).
It was a year filled with meeting many talented writers and holding space for them to explore their writing, and I learnt a great deal from the experience.
Currently, I am studying for a Master’s, and that combined with aspirations for a more eco-focused poetry group (I think), and the juggle of life (motherhood and other writing jobs) it was time to draw a curtain on it.
However, before I did, I took part in a poetry project with The National Trust, helping to create content for the poetry vending machine that is due to feature at this year’s festival in April.
I thought it would be useful to workshop for the theme/form: spring haiku, and it was such an uplifting session.

Not long to go now until the festival, and I really look forward to reading some of our group’s and the wider network’s creations.
